Job Description:
Onionmap Inc. is seeking a part/full-time graphic designer with relevant experience to work at a fast growing start up. The position will entail creating sales brochures, presentation kits and some web design. The right candidate must have a strong proficiency in all industry software, including but not limited to Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Flash, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat. Practical knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is also required. Although not necessary, Basic HTML knowledge or additional experience with web design/web programming would be a bonus.
The right candidate must be confident in their ability to fulfill the following requirements. The applicant must:
· Hold a B.S. or higher degree (or equivalent) in Graphic Design or a related field.
· Be able to manage time and workload to meet strict deadlines in a focused and effective manner.
· Be able to estimate project requirements and provide status updates, clearly visualizing projects from concept to final design.
· Be a strong team player; self motivated with a good attitude that is able to take direction and work either within a group or independently.
· Be able to perform any other duties as assigned by manager with accountability and responsibility defined prior to the commencement of these duties.
· Have a design portfolio showing strong creative and problem solving skills, the ability to generate solid design and user interface solutions, and an illustration of design and creative process is required.
· Have the ability to effectively persuade, explain, negotiate, and monitor design solutions.
· Have the ability to assess, prioritize and make trade-offs against business, technical, user scenarios and constraints.
