Job Description:
The South Bronx Health Center for Children and Families/Montefiore Medical Center, a community health center located in a medically underserved section of the Bronx, is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor. This position is responsible for non-medical patient support services and environment of care at the South Bronx Health Center for Children and Families (SBHCCF). Specific responsibilities include the operation of the Referral Management Initiative, and oversight of facilities maintenance and security. This includes ongoing supervision, training and development of staff to ensure quality and competence in referral management, facility maintenance and security. This position will also assist in the development and implementation of systems and tools to review and monitor quality and completeness of the environment of care to meet regulatory and accrediting agency standards. Additionally, this position will coordinate quality improvement activities for facilities maintenance and referral management operations. Other responsibilities include responding to patient concerns related to referrals and environment of care. Qualifications: B.S. or B.A. in a relevant field, coupled with 3+ years of administrative office management, referral coordination, or medical billing experience, preferably in a community health care setting required. Supervisory experience and experience in the management of computerized data base systems, program reports, and knowledge of medical terminology is strongly desired. Computer proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing. Database experience strongly desired.
