Job Description:
The department works directly with specific Smiths manufacturing sites and is responsible for the conversion of demand forecasts to supply plans / schedule requirements - balancing inventory and customer service objectives. Position involved daily interaction with planners located in multiple geographic sites (including Mexico) as well as broad business involvement with key stakeholders at all levels including Director / VP in: Marketing, Product Development, Operations, Customer Service, QA / RA. Work closely with International planning organization to help develop an effective Global Supply Planning team. Maintains and publishes key metrics such as: Backorder Report, Inventory Report and others as identified. Requirements Demonstrated performance in managing planning resources, ERP planning, supplier and project management required.Bachelor•s degree and 10 or more years work experience in similar field, preferably within the medical device industry.• Proven managerial / leadership skills in a multi-facility planning environment.• Strong knowledge of ERP planning systems / process in a complex supply chain environment.• Thorough knowledge of manufacturing information systems and manufacturing processes, products, equipment and procedures.• Established knowledge of FDA and ISO requirements and their application in manufacturing.
