Job Description:
A large, dynamic hedge fund with over $7 billion in assets under management, seeks an energetic individual who is eager to learn within our Operations department. The position is based in our Stamford, CT headquarters. Responsibilities: • Work within Operations group with a focus on daily procedures regarding trade flow • Interface with trading desk and prime brokerage contacts to ensure timely settlement of trades • Communicate with accounting group regarding reconciliations and trade amendments • Assist team in all aspects of PNL capture and pricing requirements • Process and format daily currency trades for execution • Prepare and confirm wires related to swap settlement, collateral calls, etc. • Liaise with administrators and prime brokers to resolve any issues that arise throughout the daily process • Ad-hoc investigations, queries and project work • Work within the team dynamic to improve efficiency and overall production Requirements: • Undergraduate degree, preferably with a focus on business or finance • 1+ years experience in a related industry • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications required • Ability to work in a structured environment with little supervision • Time management and detailed organization skills • Ability to identify areas of improvement and develop possible solutions • Clear and succinct verbal and written communication skills Elite Placement Group is a permanent and temporary executive search firm specializing in accounting, finance and administrative personnel.
