Job Description:
Manage raw material inventory to support master production schedule, inventory objectives and customer service levels. Design and execute strategies and plans to meet short and long-term supply chain management requirements. Ensure verification schedules and procedures are being followed to comply with operational and financial requirements. Forecast and manage the master schedule. Ensure a realistic Master Production Schedule by validating capacity; while remaining within the constraints set by the production plan. Resolve any such conflicts. Issue vendor releases for raw material purchases. Maintain positive relationships with suppliers. Direct activities of purchased parts expeditors to ensure on time delivery of purchase parts and control excess transportation charges accepted by the plant. Work with central Purchasing and resident Buyer on supplier development to lower total product cost. Facilitate continual improvement of business processes. Train and assists staff with MRP (Material Requirement Planning). Job Requirements : · Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field. · A Masters Degree would be considered an asset. · 10+ years’ experience in material management. · APICS CPIM certification is preferred. · Experience of leading and managing people in a manufacturing teamwork environment. · Broad knowledge of manufacturing, product structures, ERP/MRP, material flow, and logistics.
