Job Description:
Foster positive customer relations to retain and grow current business. 3. Ensure customers receive superior service. 4. Hire, train and develop staff to meet branch objectives in regards to customer satisfaction, sales, and operations. 5. Responsible for budget and profit margins to meet and exceed local branch and corporate goals for sales and profitability. 6. Prepare annual, monthly, and weekly plans to ensure each employee understands their goals in relation to the strategic objectives of the branch and ICS. 7. Properly manage risk and maintain financial integrity in all business matters. 8. Ensure compliance to all local, state and federal (DOT) laws and regulations regarding J.B. Hunt employees. 9. Foster a work environment that promotes J.B. Hunt s values for people, performance, and ethics. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for up to 8-15 employees. Larger branches have the potential to grow up to 80 employees with subordinate supervisors and their direct reports. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from an accredited four-year college or university; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE and ABILITIES Three years cargo brokerage and customer service experience. Proven success in sales of non-asset-based transportation services. Excellent analytical, written, oral and presentation skills.
