Job Description:
Respond to unannounced alarms from Intrusion Detection Alarm Systems. Incumbent will make individual assignments for the shift or other prescribed period of time for traffic control points, patrol areas, escort assignments, complaints received, or other special and recurring tasks, indicating generally what is to be done, the priority of assignments, and any special concerns or approaches to be taken by the employee. Issues and/or ensures weapons and appropriate police equipment are issued to subordinates at the beginning of each shift. Assume all responsibility for the accountability, allocation, and maintenance of police resources. The following are duties that will be performed by the incumbent: responsible to the Chief of Police/Deputy Security Officer in supervising, planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and implementing security/law enforcement of NASATL, to include entry/exit, protection for air assets, integrity of the perimeter security force, provides escorts for weapons convoys, and protection of all materials, buildings, and supplies, etc., inherent to national defense.
