Job Description:
Ballas Technical Staffing, a leader in the recruitment of engineering and technical professionals, has an immediate opening for a Grinding Machine Operator Specialist in Chicago, Il. This position and company offer long term career growth for the right person.
As a Grinding Machine Operator you will be responsible for efficient set-up and operator manual engine lathe, CNC Lathe Mill, Fanuc/Haas/Mazak Control.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Responsible for set-up and programming of Haas-Mazak CNC lathe and Milling Machines.
2. This position requires the capability to machine parts to tolerance with manual controls on a piece by piece basis.
3. Utilizing Machinery that will hold parts on a work table that is magnetic and the actual grinding process is performed by another mechanical component that will utilize various types of abrasives to "grind" parts to customer/work-order specifications. Skills in other types of industry grinding such as OD/ID and/or centerless would help a job candidate qualify.

Job Requirements:
2 years (Minimum).Must have the ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, use manual and air powered hand tools. Must be able to work independently and follow instructions.
Must be able to set up machines.
Capable of reading micrometers, calipers; helpful.
Must be able to pass Drug Test.
