Unit Description: Food Service Operations Manager Manage multiple venues in new student center within a large University setting. Davis Student Center is a 185,000 square foot facility with multiple eating and retail options. This position runs the Marketplace retail facility with 3 subcontracted vendors, pub/bistro with late night and programming activities, and manages catering for the 4th floor multipurpose ballroom and conference and event center. Acts as the primary liason to student life and the operations director of the building. The Davis Center is the first Gold Leed certified student cneter in the country with an emphasis on sustainability and commitment to social justice. The position must have excellent communication skills and strong experience in catering and or events management. Previous retail management experience in restaurant or campus retail locations.Position Posting Title: Operations Manager 1 - FoodPosition Summary: Assumes GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence in complex multi-functional accounts. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Responsible for financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers.
