Global Supply Manager Technical PCB APPLE ? GSM Technical PCBSummary:Serve as the focal point for the PCB (commodity) technical and quality related communications between Apple and suppliers. Drive failure resolution at Component/Board/System level. Develop and ensure execution of commodity quality assurance and improvement plans. Responsibilities:Establish Technology & Quality Strategy? Work cross functionally with Engineering, Global Supplybase Management, NPI and Supplier to deliver the best solutions.? Influence Engineering DF ?X? based on PCB technology? Work with PCB Commodity Team to develop commodity strategies that align Apple with the right technologies and supply base? Establish and implement & monitor quality metrics with key suppliers? Establish and implement cost modeling ? Assist with PCB specification requirements for Apple useDevelop and maintain technical relationship with key suppliers? Build strategic relationships with key suppliers? Align Supplier Technology Road Map with Apple Product Road Map Monitor supplier performance ? Drive best in class performance of cost through technology and design practices.? Track performance based on quality, reliability, failure analysis and technical support.? Conduct site qualification, including completion of surveys, gap analysis and gap closure plans.? Define and validate defect level targets and drives commodity yield improvements throughout supply base.Performance Metrics:Continuous delivery of PCB?s at or below commodity specified defect rates. Building and maintenance of influential relationships with supplier?s and Apple?s technical communities.Key relationships:Internal? All levels of Engineering (Hardware, Design, NPI Engineering)? All levels of Operations ( NPI, GSM, Materials ) External? Contract Manufacturer/OEM;s ? Supplier Engineering (Quality & Reliability, FAE, Mfg Ops, Mgmt) BS/BA degree, MBA preferred.- Strong leadership skills with the ability to work in a dynamic cross-functional environment.- Strong Negotiation skills- Utilize quality metrics in developing, monitoring and improving operational objectives. - Strong technical, leadership and Supplier management skills - Broad understanding of Supplier Technology- Strong Analytical & Technical Problem solving skills- Good interpersonal and communication/facilitation capabilities with internal customers and external suppliers- Translates PCB knowledge into product and supplier requirements.
