The nurse may be required to perform phlebotomy, EKG\'s and clerical functions. The Nurse provides patient and family health education, which include preventable health screening and information in accordance with the National Performance Measures. The nurse demonstrates technical and operational knowledge and is able to apply these skills in the clinical setting. (S)He strives to maintain clinical competencies through continuous study, in-services and participation in obtaining continuing education units.Qualifications: Citizenship: Citizen of the United States. (Non-citizens may be appointed when no qualified citizens are available in accordance with regulations issued by the Under Secretary for Health or designee). Education: Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate state accrediting agency and/or the National League of Nursing at the time the program was completed by the applicant. In some cases, these may be substituted for experience and education.You will need to successfully complete a background security investigation before you can be appointed into this position.Applicants for this position must pass a pre-employment medical examination.
