The Warehouse Supervisor (2nd Shift), under the direction of the operations manager, assigns, directs and monitors all aspects of the inbound operations and prepares activity reports. This role has responsibility for: Coordinating with other Distribution Center departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operations Controling rotation of stock and inventory to ensure proper shelf life Overseeing cycle counting process to ensure inventory on-hand accuracy Coordinating with the Compliance Manager to ensure all DEA regulations and Cardinal Health controlled supstances processes are in compliance Supporting and/or implementing motivational techniques or tactics to aid employees in achieving or exceeding productivity and quality goals Recommending and implementing modifications or innovative ideas in order to improve merchandise-handling procedures Coordinating and communicating with carriers on pricing, service and contract issues Facilitating and tracking employee training according to company policies and requirements, coaching, counseling and performance appraisals Preparing and submitting daily and weekly production reports Ensuring all company and government regulatory agencies, security, safety and housekeeping policies and practices are followed Maintaining positive employee relations Ensuring that Cardinal Health's EPIC Core Values are consistently practiced Ensuring quality service is provided to customers of Cardinal Health Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related degree is preferred 2+ years of supervisory experience is beneficial Knowledge pharmaceutical industry or distribution is preferred Skill to effectively organize and communicate as required for performance appraisals and coaching/counseling activities Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel to generate reports as needed, performance appraisals and coaching/counseling activities Ability to handle multiple projects, while working under pressure to meet deadlines Ability to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds Ability to travel for occasional company meetings or to different facilities for regular work-related tasks Cardinal Health offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including 401K and tuition reimbursement.Successful candidates must pass a background check and drug screen.We are an Equal Opportunity Employer M/F/D/V - Diversity Works Here.
