Under the direction of the Caltrans Maintenance Area Superintendent, employee is in charge of a field maintenance crew and is responsible for assigned sections of travel way. Directly supervises the maintenance crew; assigns work; selects, trains and evaluates the performance of subordinates; prepares, maintains and transmits daily personnel and equipment time and materials used; prepares or supervises the preparation of requisitioning materials and supplies; responsible for employees safety; and scheduling equipment maintenance.
