Optimize the profitability of location(s) by minimizing maintenance, damage, turnback expenses and lag time. Provide overall leadership to the maintenance team to ensure all goals are achieved. Responsibilities: • Adhere to install/PDI, downfleet and preventative maintenance standards; make decisions regarding triage out-of-service vehicles; assure timely maintenance of vehicles by monitoring reports and utilizing standardized maintenance schedules and checklists; implement preventative maintenance to manufacturers' requirements • Maintain Out-of-Service at or below 2% • Monitor body, dealer, mechanical and turnback lag to assure goals are met • Ensure proper use of the estimating system and process as well as complete and timely closure of repair orders; minimize body repair costs by negotiating body shop costs, monitoring body shops for quality and managing the inspection of returned vehicles • Manage and monitor all fleet disposals including the turnback process and wholesale of reject/salvage units; minimize turnback costs through proper maintenance and preparation of vehicles. Communicate with turnback centers and monitor them regarding vehicle status; research and resolve pipeline vehicles. Administer titles discharged to city level for non-GM units • Complete and document all warrantable repairs according to company standards; schedule associates to ensure personnel productivity and efficiency: endure completion of all repairs and manufacturer recalls according to manufacturer recalls according to manufacturer guidelines; promote and manage ASE certifications.
