Job Description: Ensure compliance with all related programs and alerts. * Maintain all reporting and data input to the Cummins DBU SafetyTeamroom, including reporting of accidents and near-miss incidents. * Oversee the investigation of all accidents and injuries to identify causes and necessary corrective action to prevent reoccurrence. Ensure follow-up and accountability procedures are in place. * Work in conjunction with workers compensation insurance carrier to administer workers compensation claims and return to work program. Work with workers compensation insurance carrier and branch management to minimize lost time.* Administer all Safety Scorecards and reporting requirements, including OSHA 300 logs. Follow-up with locations as needed. * Administer Branch Facility Inspection/Hazard Identification process. Ensure follow-up and accountability procedures are in place. Personally perform inspection at each location twice each year. * Ensure compliance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.* Coordinate renewal of medical cards. * Maintain and facilitate DOT random drug/alcohol testing program. * Ensure compliance with all safety regulations (OSHA, MSHA, etc...). * Manage Vehicle Safety Program and provide Safety Kit for all company vehicles * Administer the Company's drug and alcohol testing program. * Manage the pre-employment physical process and work with branches on any employee restrictions * Coordinate & maintain all safety related programs & training (forklift, CPR, safety shoe/boot & eyewear, vehicle safety, etc.) * Primary point of contact and CNP representative regarding compliance with customer safety requirements. Critical Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities by Dimension: Functional/Technical * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Safety Management or related field required * CSP and/or CIH preferred * 5-10 years of work experience in the field or a related area * Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the safety management field * Knowledge of electrical safety regulations, MSHA and DOT regulations * Must be willing to travel 30% of the time * Highly developed communication skills with all levels of employees and management * Strong computer skills * Prior experience implementing safety programs and creating safety presentations and training programs. * Ability to set priorities and multi-task * Excellent customer service skills encompassing the Customer Support Excellence philosophy and standards. * Must have valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
