Job Description: Job Title: Chief Operations Officer - NorthPoint Health and Wellness Closing Date/Time: Continuous Salary: $69,768.00 - $107,364.00 annually Job Type: Full-time Location: North Minneapolis, Minnesota Department: NorthPoint Health and Wellness a state-of-the-art, multicultural, community based Federally Qualified Health Care (FQHC) medical and dental clinic located in North Minneapolis, is looking for a Chief Operating Officer to monitor, direct, analyze and report on clinic operations, systems and environment, and ensure the operational and physical environments of the clinic are efficient, responsive and unobtrusive to the effective and safe delivery of quality patient care. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. Candidates must be able to demonstrate the Hennepin County Director .The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include: Assure that the vision, mission and strategic goals of the clinic are integrated into all operations and is preserved in all patient contacts. Establish and maintain effective and efficient operations, systems and processes within the medical, dental, behavioral health, and ancillary service departments. Assure development, implementation and monitoring of compliance with health information policies and procedures. Identify performance indicators within each area and department; collect and monitor performance indicator data to measure results. Direct managed care activities to ensure NorthPoint meets all contracting requirements; design, develop, negotiate, and monitor vendor contracts. Partner with the medical, dental, and mental health directors in monitoring productivity of providers through production reporting on a monthly or quarterly basis to monitor targets/goals and take corrective action when necessary. Interview, hire and direct the orientation of managers and supervisors, and assist staff in the process as needed; evaluate and conduct performance appraisals. Acts as Director of the clinic in absence of the CEO. The Ideal Candidate will have: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Health Care Management, Health Care Administration, Public Health Administration or a closely related degree PLUS at least four years of management experience in a health care clinic environment. Strong leadership skills and ability to both lead and work in a multidisciplinary team. Highly effective interpersonal, communication, assessment, evaluation and documentation skills. Ability to deal effectively with people at all levels in an environment of caring. Excellent problem-solving, analytic, planning and decision-making skills. Excellent collaborative skills to identify and leverage departmental support to meet the needs of NorthPoint's patients. Experience working with FQHC regulations. Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) certificate desirable. Invitations to interview will be based upon an assessment of education and experience. Final candidate must pass a drug/alcohol test and may be required to pass a background check. A criminal background check may be completed post-interview.
