Job Description:
Graphic/Product Designer
Position reports to Department Manager. Develops and executes apparel and product related graphic designs that achieve overall product strategy and departmental objectives.
Responsibilities
• Create original designs for various apparel, accessories, soft products, brochure layouts, packaging etc.
• Collaborate on sales presentations.
• Apply current market trends to product lines.
• Creating PDF proofs, from in house and customer supplied art.
• Sending art to final RIP for film and/or poly plate output.
• Cross platform department (PC and MAC) with popular software used - such as: Illustrator, Photoshop, Macromedia Freehand, etc.
• Color separations
• Knowledge of apparel Screen Printing preferred.
Required Skills
• Must have 4-year degree in graphic design.
• Experience in apparel industry a plus.
• Must have extensive knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Office Programs.
• Demonstrated high level of creative ability.
• Presentation and organizational skills.
• Team player.
• Strong listening skills and ability to incorporate creative feedback.
• A working knowledge of apparel trends and products currently on the market.
• Strong design aesthetic and portfolio with strong sketching abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload with multiple deadlines.
• Demonstrate proactive thinking and problem solving ability.
• Ability to research and visualize new trends.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Screen Printing a plus.
