Job Description:
This position will manage people, time and tasks in accordance with safety, quality and environmental compliance while driving continuous improvement in safety, productivity and quality. This position is responsible to ensure that products meet standards and processes are conducted maintaining the highest standards in compliance within company policies, procedures and all applicable regulations. The Manufacturing Manager develops and communicates Cell Culture departmental goals, production and compliance metrics across the organization; subject matter expert for Cell Culture manufacturing processes with technical knowledge of biopharmaceutical unit operations overall. This person will develop and implements new ideas focused on continuous process improvement, cost containment and efficiency and work with external business partners to develop and implement production schedules to meet site-manufacturing goals. Responsible for the preparation and managing of cost center budget, provide leadership for site regulatory audits and complex compliance issues, responsible for the preparation and managing of all internal and external audits for the department, approves all GMP and technical documents related to Cell Culture Operations, including non-conformance investigations. The Manufacturing Manager will independently manage the daily activities of department including staff of supervisors and associates, and interpret company policies for junior staff. Ensures compliance with standard operating procedures, including issues related to safety and the environment, as well as development of staff to include career interests and developmental opportunities.
