CCC Information Services is seeking a Developer for our User Interface team. This team creates the user experience and serves as a critical link between CCC’s business and technical teams. UI developers are expected to evaluate and understand business and technical requirements and to design and develop practical user interfaces.

Job Requirements:
Responsibilities:
~Construct designs that meet the requirements as specified in the use cases
~Design user interfaces for our web-based and desktop applications including visual look and feel, styles, navigation, and layout
~Create high fidelity rapid prototypes that visualize business ideas
~Work with technical leads and business analysts to define product features
~Provide time estimates
~Review and evaluate business requirements communicated by business analysts
~Conduct industry research and remain current on best practices and emerging technologies, including examining and experimenting with new technologies to determine applicability for CCC applications.
~Balance multiple projects, deliverables and multiple priorities and deadlines
~Participate as an active member of the UI Team in establishing standards, documenting design guidelines, and improving processes.
~Work closely with usability team members to define and identify product features for usability testing, then incorporate test results into design work
~Create design specifications that communicate the user interface design’s visual presentation, dynamic behavioral attributes, and component usage to the business, technical and quality assurance teams
~Design and develop user interfaces that:
o Ensure the end product will be consistent with current user interface designs standards.
o Facilitate reuse.
o Are expandable and adaptable to support features to be added in the future.
o Promote integration across products.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
~Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, concentration in HCI a plus.
~3+ years of user interface design and development experience
~Knowledge of interface design processes practices and methodology in creating desktop and internet web-based applications
~Programming skills in Java, JSP, JSF
~Fluency with web standards and technologies including: CSS, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, Ajax
~Proficiency with rapid prototyping tools including Dreamweaver
~Experience with usability methodologies and working with usability testing teams
~Microsoft Office Suite including Visio
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
~Programming skills in .Net (C#) is a plus
~Knowledge of Web 2.0 interaction paradigms and technologies
~Proficiency with Adobe PhotoShop
~Rational ClearCase and ClearQuest or similar tools
~Experience in developing components that utilize AJAX
~Adobe Spry framework or other Ajax framework
~Experience and knowledge of Windows Vista, WPF and Microsoft Blend
~Insurance or Automobile Repair Industry knowledge
