Technical Writer

Be part of a team that manages the back end database environment for a live site at one of the leading on line travel companies. This project will primarily be to document the tools and processes for the database release process on the live site. Furthermore, this person will work on the "high availability" initiative creating user guides and operations guides to the current back end and functional specs, business requirement docs and Executive slide presentations for new projects. The group is composed of senior database engineers (SQL Server) and test engineers who this person will interview and cooperate with to develop docs. The team works in an Agile, Test Driven Development environment. The documentation will detail the release process, and document interfaces which are mainly in C#/Web Services.

Job Requirements:

* Create release documents for a senior level engineering audience.

* Create documents for executive audience.
* Strong personality to drive docs to a high standard and have a presence within a senior team.
* Outgoing with the ability to take initiative to manage documents through completion (this is the sole TW in the group working under the manager)

* Skills in Sharepoint, Visio guru, and confluence would be ideal.
