Job Description: Plans, organizes, directs and controls all purchasing functions of the hotel to ensure that the highest quality product is purchased at the best possible price. Controls inventories at appropriate levels. Obtain bids from vendor according to the specifications set by the hotel standards. Determines the best possible price for the desired items and place orders for all food and non-food items. Schedule deliveries of items and monitor the quality of products received. Interviews, trains, supervises, counsels, schedules and evaluates staff . Job Requirements: Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in similar duties and setting, excellent communication skills, able to establish and maintain great relationship with suppliers, great attention to detail, technoligically sound with experience in Microsoft Office and purchasing software, able to work in a fast paced changing environment, ability to select and motivate employees.
