Job Description: American Outsourcing Solutions, LLC.
Overview AOS provides high quality, quick turnaround, print ready advertising art (in digital format) for the newspaper, magazine and publishing industry. Working from specifications provided by the client, AOS staff will refine and assemble ad layouts and submit them for digital proofing or final print production within the deadlines provided.
Staff Creator (Graphic Artists)
The core to AOS’s business is our staff creators. They are the backbone that creates 99% of the deliverables at AOS. Creators are responsible for completing assigned jobs, on time and with zero defects the first time. Each creator has a good eye for design and the ability to quickly understand job specifications and create print ready art.
Candidate must have the ability to design with QuarkXpress, Adobe Indesign, Photoshop in an ad production / Macintosh environment. Duties include: • Create print ready Ads on-time. • Quickly and accurately comprehend job specifications. • Maintain a “creative eye” on all jobs produced. • Maintain a high-level of organization. • Complete all production requirements on a job-by-job basis.
Shift supervisor positions will be available for select candidates.
Production Intern
AOS uses local art students from a variety of local colleges in a variety of entry level positions including data entry, pre-flighting, proofing, scanning, file prep, layout, and other administrative tasks. Interns are trained and closely monitored by senior personnel for quality and timeliness.
Job Requirements: Graphic Designer
Requirements: Staff creators should have 2-5 years design experience or related schooling utilizing the latest in digital design tools such as Adobe In-Design, Quark XPress, Multi-Ad Creator and Photoshop. Creators will need to have a “good eye” for design with a production focus. Creators must be able to read and understand job specifications and be able to create print ready art. Related education and/or newspaper production experience a plus.
Production Intern
Requirements: intern candidates must have completed at least two years of study in graphic design, image retouching, or related degrees. Interns should be familiar with Adobe InDesign, Quark, Multi-Ad Creator, Photoshop, Acrobat and other related image retouching and page layout software. Good communication skills (written and verbal) are a must along with the ability to meet deadlines and adhere to AOS quality standards.
