Job Description:
3 year contract position at one of St. Louis's largest organizations is looking for a .NET developer working on team to develop, implement and maintain applications used by the client to communicate and exchange order information between the company and its Customers. The person selected for this position will initially work on the development of a large B2B, B2C internet application.
1) Design, programming, unit testing and deployment of ASP .NET Commerce applications.
2) Work with Business Analyst, Application Architect, Data Architect, and Project Manager to estimate work.
3) Work with testing resources to effectively test code and resolve issues.
4) Assist with documenting requirements (or other project documentation) as needed; includes collaborative meetings with customers.

Required General Skills
1) Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate at multiple levels, including: programmers, nontechnical project managers, business analysts, and customers.
2) Strong problem solving and analytical skills for Client/Server and web-based applications.
3) Effective organizational skills, demonstrated by ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously, and be attentive to details.
4) Must be a self-starter, work well in a team environment, and be able to work with minimal direction.
5) Minimum 6 years software development experience, with majority of recent experience with Microsoft development technologies.
Job Requirements:
Required Technical Skills
1) Developer-.NET C# - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.
Expect additional expertise with Microsoft development tools, but must have significant, recent experience with C#, ASP.NET, .Net 2.0 and 3.0 Frameworks using WCF and WPF. A working knowledge of Microsoft Silverlight valuable.
2) Object-oriented analysis, design, and development - Intermediate with 5 year(s) experience.
Classroom OO knowledge is not sufficient - expected to understand concepts and have experience applying on multiple projects; knowledge of design patterns would be a plus.
3) Experience developing with Microsoft SQL server databases - Expert with 4 year(s) experience.
Particular focus on development maintenance and tuning of Stored Procedures.
4) Query and Stored Procedure development using Microsoft SQL Server. - Expert with 5 year(s) experience.
Preferred Technical Skills
1) Experience with a formal methodology - Intermediate with 2 year(s) experience.
Experience with an iterative, agile process (such as Unified Process) would be a plus.
