Job Description:
Responsibilities include developing and implementing short and long range communications strategies and plans for Service Area and Regional Member and Marketing Communications clients. Responsible for establishing project collaboration among clients across Service Areas, to ensure continuity, best practices, and economies of scale. Supervises and evaluates the work of the Communications Consultants, Project Manager, and Project Coordinators. Sets priorities, delegates assignments and monitors workload. Recruits, trains, develops and motivates staff and initiates timely performance evaluations. Acts on behalf of the Consulting Services Manager as needed. Plans and recommends budget items for professional development, (rewards and training) and salary merit increases. Establishes process for collaboration among Regional and Service Area Communications Consultants and Project Managers to ensure best practices, continuity, and economies of scale are sought in the creation of member and marketing communications projects. Reviews and mentors staff on the strategic completion of a creative brief for relevant projects. Ensures that staff has included the other departments involvement as needed (i.e. Brand, Business Marketing Communications, etc.) Communicates clients concerns, issues, and project revisions/expansions to staff to ensure timely, accurate and appropriate development of communications projects. Ensures the correction of any discrepancies in either design and/or content during the developmental stages of projects. Negotiates with clients regarding schedules, etc., to ensure that projects are completed within established time frames. Ensures the cost effective, efficient production and appropriate execution of all projects consistent with clients satisfaction service standards and strategic goals. Works with local and/or regional teams to maintain accurate information about the services and facilities available to members in the annually produced guide to services. Provides local editorial support for regional quarterly newsletter by proactively sourcing story ideas, coordinating photo shoots, and participating on the local newsletter review team. Additional duties and responsibilities as needed. Clients include Area Marketing Directors, Public Affairs Mangers, Service Area Managers, Medical Group Contacts, as well as Member Services and other Service Area departments. The Consulting Services Supervisor works with internal Member and Marketing Communications Shared Services Creative Teams to ensure the successful implementation of communications projects to support current members, prospective members, employers/purchasers and brokers.
