Job Description: Principal Accountability Under the direction of the Supervisor Support Services is responsible for day-to-day administration of BCW's PC network, the individual servers that make it up, and the installation/maintenance of all hardware and software. The Network Administrator is responsible for investigating and resolving Tier 3 network software and hardware problems. In addition, the use of project management skills to manage and coordinate I.S. related projects is a must

Education Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Network Technology preferred Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or A + Certification is a plus Experience A minimum of 2 years of Linux/UNIX support in a professional work environment A minimum of 2 years experience with Windows 2000/2003 and Exchange Experience with Microsoft Windows Terminal Services and Citrix. Experience with IIS/Apache web servers. Experienced with DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP in a mixed environment.
Skills and Knowledge Strong understanding of Linux/UNIX server operating systems. Strong understanding of Windows 2000/2003 server operating systems. Able to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects and responsibilities at the same time. Strong analytical ability to analyze systems and procedures, as well as exceptional problem solving skills Must be able to work both independently under minimal supervision, as well as a member or leader on project teams Well developed interpersonal skills Ability to effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities Detail oriented with the ability to ensure accuracy of data and systems Excellent oral and written communication skills and effective communication with all levels of management and with employees Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines Extensive knowledge of personal computers hardware and software, Cisco network equipment, Windows server based operating systems
