Job Description:
Principal Accountability
Under the direction of the Supervisor – Support Services is responsible for day-to-day administration of BCW's PC network, the individual servers that make it up, and the installation/maintenance of all hardware and software. The Network Administrator is responsible for investigating and resolving Tier 3 network software and hardware problems. In addition, the use of project management skills to manage and coordinate I.S. related projects is a must

Education
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Network Technology preferred
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or A + Certification is a plus
Experience
• A minimum of 2 years of Linux/UNIX support in a professional work environment
• A minimum of 2 years experience with Windows 2000/2003 and Exchange
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Terminal Services and Citrix.
• Experience with IIS/Apache web servers.
• Experienced with DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP in a mixed environment.

Skills and Knowledge
• Strong understanding of Linux/UNIX server operating systems.
• Strong understanding of Windows 2000/2003 server operating systems.
• Able to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects and responsibilities at the same time.
• Strong analytical ability to analyze systems and procedures, as well as exceptional problem solving skills
• Must be able to work both independently under minimal supervision, as well as a member or leader on project teams
• Well developed interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities
• Detail oriented with the ability to ensure accuracy of data and systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and effective communication with all levels of management and with employees
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Extensive knowledge of personal computers hardware and software, Cisco network equipment, Windows server based operating systems
