Job Description: Manager, Workflow Consulting This position will provide input into the development/advancement of the consulting capabilities at Ventana, including: strategic direction of the Workflow consulting practice, specific methods and product offerings, and interactions with other Advanced Workflow and our products and services. This position requires management of consulting projects and oversight over 1-2 (or more) workflow consultants and customer personnel, training team members as required. The main focus of this role will be to analyze new and existing customer laboratory organizations and work practices and recommend near and longer term improvements. The job will require familiarity with Advanced Workflow (and other) products, and the ability to credibly recommend changes to lab practices to improve waste, cost, quality, and turnaround times. RequirementsExperience: Preferred, but not required, 3- 5 years of laboratory experience. This may include in-laboratory experience or industry experience through sales/marketing roles. 4 -5 years of consulting industry or equivalent experience required, health care industry focus preferred Training and experience implementing with Lean or Six Sigma principles required. Minimum Requirements: Formal Training/Education: Minimum 4 year degree in business, engineering or related field HT degree preferred; training in Lean and Six Sigma principles required Other requirements: Support sales of other our products; support implementation of Advanced Workflow solutions Help create and improve standard practices for national delivery of workflow advisory services Stay current on Lean and Six Sigma principles and practices. Integrate latest industry and functional ideas into standard practices and client engagements Conduct workflow consulting in customer laboratories, including process mapping, 5S Review, value stream mapping, and other analysis tools. Train customer teams on workflow improvement tools and techniques Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have strong interpersonal skills to manage customer relationships and help direct and develop more junior staff. Must have strong organization and analytical skills to manage projects and discern improvements needed by customers. Must have the ability to use analytical tools and applications to support workflow conclusions. Must exhibit the ability to create and deliver services. Must be able to articulate ideas and sell solutions. Must effectively manage multiple layers of personnel within the customer site.
