Our Inland Empire (Ontario, California) office is branching out and looking for an Area Manager to support the operational and business development activities for multiple business lines. The primary responsibilities for this role will include: Originating the strategic vision and investment for the office in coordination with regional and divisional managers Developing the office business plan and growth strategy in coordination with the regional and divisional managers Managing the Profit/Loss performance of the individual local units within the office and the area as a whole Maintaining community presence and visibility through membership and participation in various professional, civic and business organizations as well as other appropriate means General business development and marketing focus, while ensuring client care and feedback to maintain high quality performance of the office Establishing new local units in coordination with regional and divisional managers and ensures maximum collaboration among local units Identifying and evaluating potential mergers/acquisitions Oversight of the negotiation of project contracts at the local level Management and oversight of office administrative functions (IT, HR, Marketing, Accounting) and facilities management, including providing guidance and mentoring of Unit Managers Performs as Principal in Charge for large contracts Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with appropriate registration and/or licensing 10 years of progressive experience in consulting engineering design services is required Must have at least 4 years in management or leadership role
