Job Description, Responsibilities
• Management of Linux based servers and laboratory instruments.
• Performance monitoring and capacity planning.
• Maintain scripts and processes to streamline operation.
• Maintenance and monitoring of tape backups.
• File restorations from tape as needed.
• User account maintenance, add & remove users, configure groups and security.
• Prepare and maintain procedures for all tasks related to this position.
• Carry a cell phone during working hours for immediate communications.
• Carry a pager or cell phone after hours for emergency contact.
Requirements:
• Minimum Qualifications:
• Requires a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science/Business or related discipline or equivalent 2 years experience or AA or equivalent degree with 0-2 years experience in a telecommunication and computer networked environment.
