Our Ann Arbor, MI, location is seeking a Sr. Engineer I (Electrical)in our Manufacturing (Production) Department. This highly visible position within our engineering tam reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for the development and support of a sophisticated control system for our implantable heart pump with the magnetically levitated impeller. This involves maintenance of the system's existing design including debugging, testing and implementing necessary improvements as well as evaluating our current design. Qualifications: Requirements include: This position requires a Master of Science in electrical engineering (MSEE) discipline coupled with 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Active implantable medical device development and manufacturing experience with a strong knowledge of regulatory requirements is a must; Extensive experience with sophisticated electromechanical system design, testing and manufacturing necessary; Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes, assembly and testing required; and Project management skills needed.
