Summary:

The Senior Software Engineer Team Lead is responsible for leading a mixed team of onsite and offshore employees in the development of a large-scale, high-availability on-demand service focused on delivering mobile solutions around advertising and search. The right candidate has a strong background team leadership, including requirement gathering, project execution, and high level architecture/design. A small percentage of this positions time will also be involved in hands on development. Experience with working with offshore developers/remote teams is a must.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Technically lead a mixed group of onsite and offshore developers (5-10)

Accountable for all design deliverables related to the project

Work closely with product management to refine next-generation product definition

Write supporting design and delivery documentation

Work closely with other core groups of the organization project management and QA

Required Skills and Experience:

Strong Java programmer with 5-7 years of professional experience and solid object- and pattern-oriented design skills

Team leadership experience with specifically with offshore resources

Java server-side development essential, with strong understanding of memory & thread management

Strong experience with JSP and Java Servlets development experience

Relational database skills (MySQL preferred)

Experience with large-scale on-demand applications in highly available, distributed environment is desirable

Linux fundamentals
