Job Description:
Provides IS support for all Process Control Systems. Responsible for maintaining the health of SQL databases used in these applications. This is the IS "Go-To Person" for the Engineering Team.
Qualifications: This individual will wok with the Engineering and Technology groups to advance the use of the network infrastructure for automated data capture within manufacturing processes.
This person will install file server hardware and software upgrades, diagnose and repair hardware and software in a multi-server multi-operating system environment. Responsible for installation of TCP/IP stacks and SAP GUI upgrades. Responsible for ongoing maintenance of all local SAP interfaces, including but not limited to printers, bar code devices, file serves and workstations. Responsible for the user training for network applications such as email. Responsible for the quarterly refresh of user PCs including the installation of the corporate standard software image.
Responsible for the administration, installation and maintenance of the plan PBX and Meridian Mail system. Works closely with vendors to negotiate the acquisition of products and services.
Must be adaptable and willing to work with a variety of personalities. Must have manufacturing process control systems experience. Candidates from technical, engineering, or manufacturing backgrounds strongly preferred.
Education and Experience:
BS in MIS, Electronic, Engineering, or related fields and 8-15 years of experience in network end user support, and designing, installing, and maintaining network infrastructures in a manufacturing/corporate environment. Must have Microsoft certification (MSCNE) with demonstrated experience working with fiber-optic and 10base-T wiring systems as well as radio frequency (RF) systems.
