Job Description:
Rearden is building a Mobile Development team and we are looking for a Senior J2ME Device Software Engineer to join the team.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for designing and developing connected mobile applications.
Job Requirements:
* Total software development experience of 7+ years in Java / C++ / C
* Played a significant role in designing and implementing J2ME applications that work across various devices for 2+ years
* Committed approach to test-first development with junit experience
* Developed applications using XML/HTTP/HTTP(s)/IP/SMS protocols
* Implemented and knowledgeable about one or more of the following areas: user-interface, storage / db, protocol, syncing, parsing and writing efficient code
* Familiar with OO Design principles, Web services, SOAP, AJAX, Widgets
* Ability to communicate and work well within a team and interface with QA, User Experience, Product Management and Customer Care
Desired Qualifications:
* Preferred: experience developing applications for Blackberry
* Knowledge of web technologies and frameworks
* Knowledge and experience dealing with other mobile platforms such as Windows Mobile / Pocket PC, Palm and Symbian
