Job Description:
Greenville Drive Assistant Groundskeeper
Greenville Drive is the South Atlantic League Single-A affiliate of the Boston Red sox. The Drive play at West End Field a 100% sand based 419 Bermuda grass playing surface.
Position Description:
Seeking an Assistant Groundskeeper to perform duties required to maintain safe and professional quality baseball playing surface under direct supervision on Head Groundskeeper.
Qualifications:
Must be dedicated and willing to work long hours including nights, weekends and holidays. Also must be able to lift, carry and transport up to 50lbs. Turfgrass students or recent graduates are preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
• Mound, Plate and bullpen maintenance
• Care of infield skin and warning track
• Aeration and topdressing
• Assist in fertilization and pest management
• Mowing infield and outfield
• Tarping entire field, mound and plate areas
• Chalking and painting foul lines
• Batting practice set up and tear down
• Pre-game and post-game field work
• Irrigation and equipment maintenance
