SSDs, embedded, debug, ARM*, XScale*, C/C++
12 MONTH CONTRACT - DAYS 8-5
One of the world's largest IT organizations is seeking Firmware Developer for a 12 month contract position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Firmware Developer:
• Work with a small team developing SSDs.
• firmware and associated tools design, development and debug in a real time embedded OS for a very high-performance solid-state disk product.
• determine key performance and power bottlenecks, and evaluating solutions to address these problems

Job Requirements:
Required Skills for this position include the following:
1. At least a Ph.D. in CS, or MS in CS and 4+ years of relevant experience, or BS and 6+ years of relevant experience, or Equivalent is required
2. Proficiency with the following:
o Good understanding of computer architecture and operating systems fundamentals
o Strong software design and C/C++ development skills
o Demonstrated experience in high-performance low-level system software development
o Demonstrated experience in developing embedded multitasking applications
o Knowledge of embedded system tool chains and debug methodology
These Skills Would Be A Plus:
• Knowledge of storage concepts is a strong plus
• experience with ARM* or XScale* development and architecture
