Job Description:
Immediate need for an HVAC Technician to support Portland’s premier commercial office building.
What you will do:
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC issues
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants
• Assist mechanical and other contractors
• Respond to system generated work orders and tenant calls
• Evaluate and report to the Supervisor the need for appropriate contractors for repairs
• Provide technician support to the facilities group as needed
Your Skills, Abilities and Knowledge:
• A minimum of five years experience in the commercial HVAC field
• Experience working with both DDC and pneumatic control systems
• Have an excellent attendance record at prior employment
• Good written, verbal and listening communication skills
• Ability to effectively interact with customers and staff
• Competent in OSHA job site safety requirement
• Project a positive image of the company and herself/himself to customers
• Good grooming and hygiene habits that are consistent with office environment guidelines
• Be a high school graduate or equivalent
• A qualified candidate may be required to pass a pre-hire drug screening and background check
• Must be able to conform to all federal, state and city licensing and certification requirements as applicable
• Trade School, mechanical engineering, industrial technology training desirable
• Membership in related professional organization(s) is desirable
