Job Description:
What You will do:
The firmware developer contractor will work with our small firmware team developing SSDs. The contractor will be responsible for firmware and associated tools design, development and debug in a real time embedded OS for a very high-performance solid-state disk product. The contractor will be responsible for determining key performance and power bottlenecks, and evaluating solutions to address these problems
Your skills:
You area FIRMWARE pro with (a) Good understanding of computer architecture and operating systems fundamentals, (b) Strong software design and C/C++ development skills, (c) Demonstrated experience in high-performance low-level system software development, (d) Demonstrated experience in developing embedded multitasking applications, and (e) Knowledge of embedded system tool chains and debug methodology.
Nice to have:
Knowledge of storage concepts is a strong plus, as is experience with ARM* or XScale* development and architecture.
Your Qualifications:
Ph.D. in CS, or MS in CS and 4+ years of relevant experience, or BS and 6+ years of relevant experience, or Equivalent is required.
