We are currently seeking TX. Licensed Journeyman and Apprentice Commercial Electricians to support a client of ours.

Primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using an assortment of hand tools. Pulls wiring through conduit. Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads with knife or pliers, twisting or soldering wires together and applying tape or terminal caps.

Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment or otherwise ensures that concealed wiring is installed and properly documented prior to completion of structure.

Connects wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment using hand tools. Installs control and distribution apparatus, fastening in place with screws or bolts using hand and power tools. Connects power cables to equipment and installs grounding leads.

Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety compliance. Observes installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustment, relocation or replacement.

Disassembles electrical equipment, traces hard-to-locate defects or problems, cleans and replaces parts, and renews wiring, brushes, connection and insulation as necessary.

Working knowledge of the National Electric Code.

Performs other duties as required.




Job Requirements:
Candidates considered must have the following:

Apprentice - 2 years of Commercial Service
Journeyman - 5 years of Commercial Experience, Foreman work experience a plus.

High school graduate or have a G.E.D. certificate
Proof of Valid TX, Journeyman License
Must have own tools (Hard hat, tools, boots, safety goggles)
Reliable transportation With a good Vehicle Report
Must be able to pass a Drug Test
Must be able to pass a Criminal background check.
Provide proof of Valid TX. Driver’s License, Valid Social Security card
Must be punctual, dependable and trustworthy.
Professional “Team Player” attitude with the ability to focus on Quality and Productivity.


Requirements:

Proficiency in the maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and devices.

Proficiency in bending, cutting and installing of all types and sizes of EMT and rigid conduit, wire pulling, fixture installation and panel perminations.

Proficient in the troubleshooting of electrical controls and power circuits ranging from 208/120V to 480/277 V

Ability to performing preventive maintenance tasks, taking corrective action for repairs, and be knowledgeable in electrical equipment installations.

Ability to perform a minimal level of delegated supervisory tasks and oversee sub-contractors in the related electrical field.

Ability to read blueprints and update electrical schematics and single lines drawings.

A strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes.
