Job Description:
Under minimal supervision, performs installation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment (both electronic and mechanical); Performs start-up on new equipment; assists in supervising and planning, maintains related records.
Job Requirements:
Experience at the Journeyman level that demonstrates extensive knowledge of methods, practices, materials, and equipment used in air conditioning and refrigeration maintenance; knowledge of ice-making and humidity control maintenance; current Refrigerant Recovery Certification (EPA approved); current Virginia Journeyman's or Master's HVAC and Electrical Licenses; ability to maintain a variety of refrigeration, air conditioning, and related machinery in operating condition; ability to supervise and train assistants, and to maintain adequate servicing records; ability to climb and work off ladders and scaffolds, and safely move and handle 60 pounds. Willingness and ability to wear a respirator
