Job Description:
Department: Development
Reports To: Associate VP of Institutional Giving
Purpose of Position: Responsible for corporate, foundation and major giving prospect research and writing.
Principal Responsibilities:
-Identify and research foundation, corporate and government prospects.
-Track deadlines for reports and proposals and insure timely submissions and accurate record keeping.
-Interact with program staff as needed to prepare reports and proposals.
-Write letters of inquiry, proposals, reports, and ongoing communications as needed.
-Research and write profiles for individual major giving.
-Maintain prospect and donor files.
-Produce consistently high quality materials.
-Administrative duties may include check processing and report updates.
-Assist with donor functions and visits and other Development Department projects as needed.
-Perform other duties as assigned by Associate VP.
Job Requirements:
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s Degree.
-Excellent writing and proposal development skills, familiarity with social service agencies, and the foundation and corporate arenas.
-Must be well organized and a detail oriented team player.
-Excellent interpersonal and computer skills.
