Job Description:
1. Layout, construct, assemble, install, inspects, maintain, repair, modify, troubleshoot and test any/all types of electrical systems and equipment using schematics, sketches, electrical drawings, manufactures instructions and verbal instructions.
2. Assist Sr. electricians with new installations and upgrade projects.
3. Change out mechanical parts (valves, sensors, motors ect.) when necessary.
4. Provide support to the maintenance/production department in troubleshooting plant equipment.
5. Operate required machinery and equipment in a safe manner following established safety rules and report any unsafe acts or conditions to immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Two (2) years experience as an industrial and maintenance electrician preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in the English language.
• Must be able to read and work from schematic diagrams and sketches with minimum supervision.
• Knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repair of three-phase/single-phase/4160V motor controls, operating panels, PLC knowledge is an asset.
• Must be able to use multi-meter, megohmeter and other test equipment.
• Must be able to calibrate field devices, i.e. scales, metal detectors, field sensors, etc.
• Have basic mechanical skills.
• Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to work overtime and on-call as required.
