BSA Auditor - Financial Institution Job

The candidate evaluates management controls to comply with applicable federal and state regulations governing the financial services industry, evaluate the bank wide policies and procedures to make sure that they comply with laws and regulations, and satisfy the basic control requirements. Assists the head of the department to coordinate with the regulators and external auditors, improve department performance and completes the temporary assignments. Trains audit assistants and cross-trains between the auditors. Assists the head of department in developing the annual audit plan by providing information and preliminary opinions. Reviews and evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of policies and procedures and related internal controls within the branches of the region. Reviews and evaluates compliance with federal and state banking laws, and regulations. Carries out detailed risk analysis and prepare audit plan and audit program. Prepares summary of audit findings and recommendations, and audit reports. Executes periodic on-site and off-site follow up and continuously monitors the major business activities on the designated area. Trains audit assistants and cross-trains between the auditors in all aspects of internal audit procedures. Understands, complies with and monitors the activities, if necessary, of all applicable laws and regulations regarding anti-money laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, currency transaction reporting, and suspicious activity reporting.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university. Should have 5+ years of BSA auditing experience within the banking industry.
