Job Description:
 The candidate will be responsible for writing SAS software programs to analyze clinical data for trials managed by the Global Clinical Affairs (GCA) department of COMPANY. Generating statistical summary tables for inclusion in clinical study reports, and assisting project teams with interpreting analysis results. Assist senior statisticians in authoring the statistical methods section of clinical protocols. Write SAS software programs to identify potential data quality problems, display detailed data listings and summarize clinical results using established statistical techniques. Assist clinicians in interpreting results and presenting findings to project teams. Assist the clinical operations group with case report form design, to insure that all data can be collected and analyzed accurately.
The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, or related field. Master’s degree in statistics, biostatistics, or related field preferred. Should have 3-5 years' experience with a Bachelor’s or 1-2 years' experience with a Master’s degree in analyzing clinical trials for the pharmaceutical or medical device industry. 1 year of relevant statistical experience in analyzing clinical trials for the pharmaceutical or medical device industry desired. Must be fluent in SAS, especially SAS Macro programming. Familiarity with statistical methods that apply to Phase I-IV clinical trials required. An in- depth understanding of statistical issues/controversies such as multiplicity, randomization, and working knowledge of theories in mixed linear models, generalized estimating equations, equivalence testing, crossover designs preferred. In-depth understanding of statistical issues/controversies such as multiplicity, randomization, acceptance of the null hypothesis required.
