Electronic Page Layout Artist Job

The candidate will be handling design, image manipulation, and pre-press production for 4-color and black and white output. Design, retouch, layout and letter various manga materials for print. Maintain current knowledge of electronic pre-press and print technology. Maintain current knowledge of manga series and other relevant publications. Communicate ideas and other suggestions to production manager. Coordinate workflow with Production Manager as needed. Other requests as specified from time-to-time by supervisor. Participate in the development of creative layouts for manga and other properties.

The candidate should have a college degree. AA or equivalent in graphic design is preferred. Should have 2 years' experience. Must be proficient in Mac computers and design-related programs: Illustrator InDesign, Quark Xpress, Photoshop and Acrobat. Knowledge of Japanese/Asian entertainment.
