Secondary Education Instructors for the Health Careers Pre-Collegiate Development Program (HCPCP) Job

Description: Develop a workable curriculum for respective subject area and revise said curriculum throughout the five-week program. A final curriculum will be required at the end of the Summer Program. Instruct from a minimum of 6 hours per week to a maximum of 15 hours per week (depending on subject area). Planning time is inclusive of instruction time. Possess the ability to instruct and respond in an appropriate manner with ethnically diverse students. Evaluate student's performance at mid-term and at the end of the program. Possess the ability to enforce HCPCP disciplinary policies. Possess the ability to collaborate with an assigned TA (Teaching Assistant) to bring about positive student results. Report to the Coordinator with any pertinent records information regarding any student in your class (es). Attend the HCPCP Orientation. Attend weekly staff meetings. Attend a planning day(s) prior to program start-up. Attend the Awards Banquet at the end of the Program (five-week program instructors only).

Qualifications: Possess a valid Colorado Secondary Teaching Certificate in your subject area(s). Preference will be given to instructors who have had previous teaching experience of ethnically diverse students in secondary education.
