Job Description:
1) Partner with R&D on Bluesky technology research as the lead electrical engineer
2) Track the current state of technology in target consumer electronics categories
3) Lead component evaluations and selection to meet marketing requirements
4) Manage the electrical proof of concept prototyping and validation through the Investigation phase
5) Develop detailed electrical product specifications including system performance, key hardware components, and test plans during the Product Definition phase
6) Manage relationships with electronics vendors and strategic partners
Job Requirements:
1) BS or MS degree in electrical or computer engineering
2) 5+ years as an Electrical Engineer in a cross functional product development team (preferably developing consumer electronics products)
3) Successful track record developing digital audio and/or wireless consumer electronic products.
4) Experience in the following areas is important: system integration, digital logic, memory, SOC's, various communication protocols, and analog integration
5) Experience in testing consumer electronic products, EMC and EMI engineering, failure analysis, and agency standards (UL, CE, CSA, FCC & IEC, BT)
6) Experience with developing and implementing in-line and end-of-line test procedures in volume production lines
7) Experience in establishing product performance benchmark objectives
8) Experience with schematic capture programs and familiarity with PCB layout software
9) Knowledge of and experience with proper PCB layout and routing principles for enhanced system performance, signal integrity, ESD, EMI, and USB compliance
10) Knowledge of and experience with USB, USB on the Go, LCD, Li-Ion recharge circuitry
11) Hardware design engineering (PCB level) in digital audio (MP3 Flash Players, Jukebox, etc)
12) Hardware design engineering (PCB level) in RF systems '(Bluetooth, WLAN, etc)
13) Ability to understand digital audio principles and associated formats (MP3,WMA, ADPCM)
14) Ability to understand of Bluetooth principles and associated specs (Bt 1.2, Streaming Audio, etc.)
15) Ability to debug hardware issues using debuggers, oscilloscopes, in-circuit emulators, etc.
16) Willingness to travel (overseas)
