Job Description: Seeking a Military Instructor with Fire Support Systems subject material expertise to support PM Fires Support Systems at Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, VA. Desire candidate who has experience teaching military students in both a classroom and field environment. Must have a firm understanding and application of adult learning techniques and must be capable of conducting front end manpower and training analysis in conjunction with the development of new systems. Systems taught in this position will include the Lightweight Handheld Mortar Ballistic Computer (LHMBC), Vector 21B Laser Range Finder, and Improved Position Azimuth Determining System (IPADS); other fire support systems will be included as they are developed and acquired. The ideal candidate should have a rudimentary understanding of DoD/USMC acquisition procedures and the supply / logistics procedures of the operating forces. The candidate should also have demonstrated the ability to master the operating and maintenance procedures of numerous end items. Candidate must have excellent communications and analytical skills. Must also have strong working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. This position requires travel and the ability to maintain a security clearance
Job Requirements: 1. Analyze, plan, and develop courses of instruction, lesson plans, slides, charts, and handouts for new equipment training to operational forces and various training commands using Systems Approach to Training (SAT) format. 2. Assist in fielding new equipment to operational forces and training commands, including tasks related to inventory, equipment kitting, and operational validation/verification. 3. Participate in site visits to operational forces and training commands to validate course content. 4. Provide expert technical analyses and advice in specific technical areas to support management, organizational and business decisions. 5. Participate in meetings, task groups, teams, reviews and other environments to assist in collaborative results. 6. Conduct site visits, investigations and studies to gather information. 7. Prepare reports, presentations and papers to document findings, opinions and recommendations.
